Mission statement:
To help people of all ages to communicate
My name is Wiebke (pronounced “Veebka”). I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1997 after graduating with a Master of Science from Loma Linda University in California.
My career began in Alberta working with preschool and school age children as well as adults. In 2003 I moved to British Columbia and worked for Fraser Health Authority in the hospital setting.
In 2007 I opened my private practice, Szalay Speech-Language Services, where I am a proud member of Speech and Hearing BC, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
I am certified in the Compton P-ESL and Hanen programs and am also proficient in German.
Working with children and adults has been a very fulfilling career for me. I enjoy seeing my clients find their confidence again while helping them through their speech and language difficulties.
